Funeral service for William Kenneth "K.D." Dempsey, age 66, of Decatur will be 6:00 p.m. on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mr. Dempsey, who died Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at his residence, was born July 23, 1959, in Alabama to Willard Warren Dempsey and Jeanie Mae Vernor Dempsey.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, Frank Dempsey (Alice), James Dempsey (Cathy), and Larry Dempsey.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda (Henderson) Dempsey; son, William Jason Dempsey (Meagan); three brothers, Bo Dempsey (Laura), Grady Dempsey, and Robert Dempsey (Norma); two sisters, Charlotte Storie (Charles) and Donna Head (Jim); and his pride and joy, grandson William Bryant Dempsey.
