Wendell Lenard Gillespie

Funeral service for Wendell Lenard Gillespie, age 83, of Trinity will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Fuller officiating.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to service.  Interment will be in Midway Memorial Gardens.  Guestbook available at www.parkwayfunerals.com.

Mr. Gillespie, who died Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at his residence, was born September 9, 1942, in Alabama to Frank D. Gillespie and Hazel Odean Hill Gillespie.  He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Delmer Gillespie, Hobson Gillespie, Coleman Gillespie, Doyle Gillespie, and Luther Gillespie; and four sisters, Zenola Shelton, Nellie Ruth Hall, Ewatha McGee, and Jennie Prater. He loved spending time with his family.  His leisure time was enjoyed with trucks, fishing, camping, and his cats.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carol (McNeal) Gillespie; daughter, Ginger Fuller (Chris); sister, Lou Ann Harris; brother-in-law, Don Prater; and a host of extended family.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
