Graveside service for Wayne Alfred Fetner, age 82, of Decatur will be at 12:00 PM on Monday, May 22, 2023, at Midway Memorial Gardens with Parkway Funeral Home directing. Guestbook available at www.parkwayfunerals.com.
Mr. Fetner, who died Friday, May 19, 2023, at Falkville Nursing Home, was born May 18, 1941, to Ralph and Duane (Estes) Fetner. He wore many hats along the way, fireman in Auburn, electrician, installer of cable in the early days of cable, and tour bus company owner/operator of Wayne's World.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Patricia Thrower.
He is survived by two sons, Harold Fetner (Vivian) and Darold Fetner (Sheila), two daughters, Alisa Button (Fred) and Dana Fetner; brother, Gaines Fetner; two sisters, Sue Booth and Elaine Nichols; and seven grandchildren, Chris Fetner, Jessica Ward, Mary Fetner, Senae Smith, Wesley Button, Whitney Button, and Hunter Hagood.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Button, Hunter Hagood, Jacob Fetner, Jordan Fetner, Matthew Smith, and Matt Smith.
