Vernon Joel Peoples

Funeral service for Vernon Joel Peoples, age 50, of Moulton, will be 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 9, 2024, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Don Moore, II officiating.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service.  Interment will be in Landersville Cemetery.  

Mr. Peoples, who died Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Huntsville Hospital, was born November 19, 1973, in Alabama to Vernon Gene Peoples and Mable Joyce Chaney Peoples.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and three sisters, Joyce Faye Keenum, Tracey Gail Keenum, and Judy Renee Peoples.  Joel lived a full and blessed life enjoying his family and friends, especially children and grandchildren.  He was devoted to his church and his work.  His leisure time was spent hunting, fishing, traveling, and finding deals at Lacon.

He is survived by his sons, Dylan Joel Peoples (Cheyenne Wray) and Dallas Jordan Peoples (Angel King); girlfriend, Angelia Whitfield; stepsons, Tyler Whitfield (Ashlyn Brannon) and Justin Whitfield (Hannah); stepdaughter, Katelan Terry (Blake); brother, Rickey Gene Peoples; four sisters, Margie LaVon Warren, Becky Bernice Williams, Vickey Jan Duncan, and Kathy Ann Whitlock; six grandchildren, Aspen Edgar Peoples, Luna Esme Peoples, Matthew Terry, Mikah Terry, Madilyn Terry, and Charlee Blake Whitfield. 

Pallbearers will be Tommy Isbell, Derrick Glover, Brandon Williams, Zachary Glover, Malcolm Donegan, and Blake Terry.
