Vanessa Joyce (Phillips) Owens

Memorial service for Vanessa Joyce (Phillips) Owens, age 65, of Trinity, will be 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2025 at Oak Grove First Congregational Methodist Church.  Parkway Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Ms. Owens, who died Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at her residence, was born July 27, 1959, in Alabama to Gordon Phillips and Lucy Morgan Phillips.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Timothy Phillips.  Vanessa was loved so much by her family.  The built-in babysitter of her family, she baby-sat nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and even to great-greats.  And last, but not least, she loved the Lord with all her heart, and her family above all else.

She is survived by her daughter, Emily Owens; brother, David Phillips; and three sisters, Sharon Hill, Janice Haggard, and Anna Dotson.
