Thelma Daurice (McDaniel) Richey

Funeral service for Thelma Daurice (McDaniel) Richey, age 90, of Decatur will be 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Shane Williams and Rev. Mrs. Richey, who died Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born January 5, 1935, in Texas to William Other McDaniel and Minnie Mae Dorrough McDaniel.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Richey; son, Allen Ktenaveas; parents; grandson, Allen Hughes; great-granddaughter, Caroline Courville, and 14 siblings.  

She is survived by her son, Joe Courville (Rose); daughter, Denice Sandlin (Raymond); stepdaughter, Dale Reardon; sister, Ruby Boggess; four grandchildren, Eddie Richey (Laquinn), Marc Courville (Bethany); Angela Kelso (Gary Reeves), and Jennifer Kirby (Shane); eight great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and her constant feline companion, GreyC.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Richey, Marc Courville, Toby Kelso, Hayden Kelso, Logan Kirby, and Landon Kirby.
