Celebration of Life service for Bro. Terry Gillespie, age 68, of Moulton will be 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Jackie Hill, Bro. Robert Smith and Bro. Steve Agee officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Gillespie, who died Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Lawrence Medical Center, was born October 25, 1954, to Fred and Velma Gillespie. He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Dee and Mary Gillespie and John Irvin and Carrie Hagood.
Mr. Gillespie was the pastor of Chalybeate Springs Baptist Church. He loved his Lord, wife, family, and his church. Terry's life was marked by a love and commitment for his family, church, and community. It can be witnessed in the many ways he gave to and faithfully served others throughout his life.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Vickie Gillespie; mother, Velma Hagood Gillespie; daughter, Suzy Gillespie Berryman (Jeremy); sons, Heath Gillespie (Latasha) and Kevin Gillespie (Kayleen); granddaughter, Ashley Berryman; grandsons, Cody Berryman (Kinsey), Justin Gillespie, Brody Gillespie, Logan Gillespie, and Kaden Gillespie; great-granddaughter, Austyn Berryman; brother, Kenneth Gillespie; and a host of nephews, nieces, and great-nephews and -nieces.
Pallbearers will be Cody Berryman, Justin Gillespie, Brody Gillespie, Logan Gillespie, Kaden Gillespie and Garrett Prater.
