Teresa Joy (Jones) Cox

Memorial service for Teresa (Jones) Cox, age 62, of Moulton will be 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Angela Baldwin officiating. 

Mrs. Cox, who died Saturday, January 4, 2025, at her residence, was born October  24, 1962, in Alabama to James Edward Jones and Betty Joe Dempsey Jones.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James Cox; son, Justin Cox; and her mother.  

My mom's heart was right with God and she loved her family fiercely.  She loved her grandbabies with every beat of her heart.  She suffered many years with multiple health issues and in an instant she was healed and made whole.  She's now holding her son, Justin, after 15 years, her mom, Betty, after 10 years, and many more loved ones who preceded her in death.  She now sits at the foot of the throne.  "I'm just jealous she got to hug Jesus first!"  Romans 8:28 - Alegra

She is survived by two daughters, Alegra Teague (Ricky) and Mahala Alvarez (Juan); her father, James Jones; two brothers, Wayne Jones and Mitchell Jones; two sisters, Rebecca Thompson (Jerald) and Joyce Lovelady (Tommy); and eight grandchildren, Justin Cox, Ashlyn Teague, James Cox, Chandler Bennett, Ariel Bennett, Melina Carey, Malachi Cox, and Diego Alvarez.
