Teresa Gail (Mayo) Kennedy

Funeral service for Teresa Gail (Mayo) Kennedy, age 68, of Mount Hope will be 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Steve Agee, Bro. Delbert Freeman, and Bro. Scott Delashaw officiating.  The family will receive friends for two hours prior to service.  Interment will be in Midway Memorial Gardens.  Guestbook available at www.parkwayfunerals.com.

Mrs. Kennedy, who died Sunday, October 26, 2025, at her residence, was born October 19, 1957, in Alabama to Roy Cecil Mayo and Mary Frances Adams Mayo .  She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Jimmy McCord and Jerry McCord.  Teresa loved her family and her Victory Baptist Church family.  Everyone who knew her knew a kind-hearted friend.  She loved the Lord and serving him.  She always greeted everyone with a smile.  Teresa will always be loved and cherished.  She was a loving grandmother and playmate to her grandsons and great-granddaughters.  She is deeply loved and missed by those she left behind but she is now at home.

She is survived by her husband, Rev. Don Kennedy; daughter, April K. Bradford (Toby); brother, Roy Dale Mayo (Linda); grandchildren, Zane Streater (Haleigh) and Jesse Bradford; great-grandchildren, Ryleigh Streater and Emma Streater; and a host of nephews, nieces, and extended family. 

Pallbearers will be Justin Mayo, Brad Lovelady, Freddie Medders, Keith Crass, Kim Hensley, and Doug Edney.  Honorary pallbearer will be Jesse Bradford.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests memorial donations be made to Aveanna Hospice or the Victory Baptist Church Memorial Fund.
