Syble Joyce (Stricklin) Oliver

Graveside service for Syble Joyce Oliver, age 72, of Moulton will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Midway Memorial Gardens with Bro. Scott Livingston officiating and Parkway Funeral Home directing.  Guestbook available at www.parkwayfunerals.com.

Mrs. Oliver, who died Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at her residence, was born June 29, 1952, in Alabama to Irwin B. Stricklin and Annie Beatrice (White) Stricklin.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Glenn Stricklin and Buddy Stricklin.  Joyce retired from International Paper.  She was a devoted employee who loved her job.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.  Her leisure time was enjoyed camping, poolside, and the beach.  She enjoyed flowers but especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family.

She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Donald Wayne Oliver; son, Adam Oliver (Katie); daughter, Wendy Gail Oliver; two brothers, Perry Stricklin (Pat) and Randy Stricklin; two sisters, Sandy Crawford (J. T.) and Darlene Kirby (Robert); and three grandchildren, Tori Wallace, Wyatt Oliver, and Judson Oliver.

Pallbearers will be Eric Brooks, Brian Kirby, Ryan Prater, Garrett Prater, Andy Mullican, and Tony Mullican.  Honorary pallbearers will be Wyatt Oliver and Judson Oliver.

The family would like to express their very special thanks to Amedisys Hospice and the exemplary staff who cared for Joyce.
