Shelby Jean (Terry) Alred

Memorial Gathering for Shelby Jean (Terry) Alred, age 80, of Decatur, will be 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Parkway Funeral Home Parlor. 

Mrs. Alred, who died Monday, May 18, 2026, at her residence, was born April 29, 1946, in Alabama to Pelmer Ray Terry and Florence Edna Johnson Terry.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters-in-law, Sharon Terry and Shirley Terry.

She is survived by her loving husband, Larry Alred; son, Brian Alred (Tammy); daughter, Kim Pitt (Jason Freeman); five brothers, Harold Terry, Roy Terry (Judy), Ray Terry (Sharon), Carlton Terry, and Don Terry (Olena); five grandchildren, Peyton Alred, Parker Alred, Tara Smith (Jacob), Tyler Pitt (Whitney), and Taylor Pitt (Emily); seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, and extended family.
