Funeral service for Sarah "Josephine" (Standridge) Parker, age 90, of Moulton, will be 12:00 p.m., on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lynn Terry and Rev. Mark Owens officiating. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to service. Interment will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Parker, who died Monday, June 1, 2026, at her residence, was born August 19, 1935, in Alabama to John Taylor Standridge and Zolar Beatrice Williams Standridge. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyndon W. Parker; parents; and son-in-law, Danny Black. She was a life long member of Union Grove Church. Mrs. Parker loved to write in her early years. She thoroughly enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.
She is survived by two sons, Philip Parker (Cheryl) and Richard Parker (Tammy); two daughters, Rhonda Parker and Johnnie Black; seven grandchildren, Todd Black (Kristie), Jacob Black (Hillary), Caleb Black, Ethan Parker (Rachel), Amber Staggs (Matt), Weston Parker, and Erika Luker (Forrest); and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
The family would like to extend their special thanks to the nurses and staff of Gentiva Hospice for their compassion and care.
