Roy William Henderson

Funeral service for Roy William Henderson, age 72, of Trinity, will be 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 15, 2023, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Preacher Ernest Clay officiating.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service at the funeral home.  Interment will be in Midway Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Henderson, who died Thursday, May 11, 2023, at his residence was born April 13, 1951, in Alabama to Daniel Billy Henderson and Edna Mae Terry Henderson.  He was preceded in death by  his wife, Connie Henderson; parents; brother, Harold Henderson; son-in-law, Dale E. Cronkhite, Jr.; and daughter-in-law, Kathy T. Terry.  Mr. Henderson worked as a supervisor for the Decatur City Street Department.

He is survived by his wife, Markeda Hamilton Henderson; two sons, Roy E. Henderson and Benjamin Scott Fossett (Cameron); three daughters, Tina Jewell Cronkhite, Becky Henderson, and Symone Fossett; three brothers, Wendell Henderson (Lisa) and Ferlin "Troy" Henderson (Cindy Orr), and Wesley Henderson; sister, Mary Bauerle (Tom); sister-in-law, Marilyn Henderson; honorary brothers, Frank White (Rusty) and Buddy Green (Lisa); 11 grandchildren, Amber Jewell Agee (Ike), Dale E. Cronkhite, III, Cody Cronkhite, Blake Henderson (Dallis), Garrett Henderson, Joshua Henderson, Stormy Dalton, Oakley Harris, Taylen Royce Sales, Kisley Shultz, and Marlee Fossett; and three great-grandchildren, Branden Agee (Jessica), Joe Agee, and Brennan Kade Agee.

Pallbearers will be Buddy Green, Payten Little, Dale Cronkhite, Cody Cronkhite, B. J. Fossett, and Kevin Shultz.  Honorary pallbearers will be Frank White and Joshua Henderson.
