Rosie Aline (Garrie) Potts

Funeral service for Rosie Aline (Garrie) Potts, age 81, of Trinity, will be 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Greg Standridge officiating.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service at the funeral home.  Interment will be in Midway Memorial Natural Gardens.  

Mrs. Potts, who died Sunday, May 26, 2024, at her residence, was born July 7, 1942, in Alabama to Joseph Franklin Garrie, Sr. and Earlene Coggins Garrie.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and three sisters, Mary Deal, Debbie Garrie, and Sheila Bowling.  Mrs. Potts thoroughly enjoyed music, playing cards, and arrowhead hunting, but her greatest joy was her family. 

She is survived by her husband, John D. Potts; three sons, David Potts (Cindy), Troy Potts (Kathy Baker), and Kenneth Potts (Michelle); two brothers, Joe Garrie and Jimmy Garrie (Mitzi); one sister, Rita Parsley (Joe); seven grandchildren, Wayne Potts, Justin Potts (Jennifer), T. J. Potts (Emily), Dakota Potts, Martha Potts, Summer Potts, and Kimberly Potts (River Gillum); and four great-grandchildren, Sarah Potts, Tucker Potts, Micah Gillum, and Atley Potts.

Pallbearers will be T. J. Potts, Wayne Potts, Justin Potts, Dakota Potts, Joey Garrie, and Lance Garrie.  Honorary pallbearers will be Tucker Potts and Micah Gillum. .
