Funeral for Roger Wayne Smallwood, 74, of Trinity will be Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel, at 11:00 AM with Stanley Smallwood and Rodney Smallwood officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery . Visitation will be Tuesday, April 18, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Guestbook available at parkwayfunerals.com
Mr. Smallwood, who died Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Decatur Morgan Hospital , was born, June 18, 1948, to C.E.and Juanita Smallwood. Roger worked for the Morgan County's Sheriffs Office for 34 years and retired as a captain.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother and sister in law- Charles Ray Smallwood (Linda Jo)
He is survived by:
Wife of 56 years - Carolyn Smallwood
Son - Ashley Smallwood
Grandchild - Austin Smallwood (Abbie)
Brothers- Gary Smallwood, Randy Smallwood
Sister - Anita Branum
Pallbearers will be Stanley Smallwood, Rodney Smallwood, Jeff Smallwood, David Lamon, Mason Lamon, Richie Branum.
