Richard and Jeana Cassis

Decatur - Memorial service for Rev. Richard Cassis 78 and Jeana Myers  Cassis, 73, of Decatur will be Saturday November 13, 2021 at  1pm Epic Church with Rev. James Cotton and C. Micheal Sherman officiating and Parkway Funeral Home directing. Rev. Cassis, who died Sunday, October 17, 2021 was born December 5, 1942 and Mrs. Cassis died October 19, 2021and was born December 12, 1947. Rev. Cassis was born in New York to Robert H. Cassis and Eleanor Boggiano Cassis.  They were members of Austinville United Methodist Church. He served as pastor of West End United Methodist Church and Union Grove United Methodist Church. He served and retired from the United States Coast Guard. She was an active member of the choir and the Remanence at Austinville. and was a strong support to her husband with his ministry. She retired from the State of Mississippi where she worked in System Analysis They both served as music ministers at numerous churches in the area. They also traveled across many states singing as "Friends and Company".
They were preceded in death by their parents, and Jeana by her brother Rick Myers.
They are survived by sons, Jay (Angelia) Parker, Bryan (Margo) Cassis, James "Jim" (Misty Rae) Parker, Todd (Kathy) Cassis

Daughter-Carrie (Jon) Redford
Jeana, by her sister Sheila Myers (Kendell) Smith and sister-in-law Patty Myers
Richard by his brother Bob (Cathy) Cassis, sister Carol Chappelle
Several nieces and nephews.
