Patsy Joan (Gillespie) Oliver

Graveside service for Patsy Joan (Gillespie) Oliver, age 71, of Town Creek, will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Morris Chapel Cemetery with Mark Gillespie and Charles Rosson officiating and Parkway Funeral Home directing.  

Mrs. Oliver, who died Monday, April 6, 2026, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born July 7, 1954, in Alabama to Pat Simon Gillespie and Geneva Alma Shelton Gillespie.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Rodger Oliver; parents; brother, Tommy Gillespie; sisters, Juanita Weeks (Junior), Betty Heflin (Pete), and Marie Wood (Kenneth); and brother-in-law, Glovis Hale.

She is survived by two daughters, Misty Oliver Johnson and Autumn Oliver; brothers, Bruce Gillespie (Peggy), Harry Gillespie (Ann), and Johnny Gillespie; five sisters, Barbara Hale, Annette Gillespie, Phyllis Key (Jimmy), Rosemary Rosson (Charles), and Tammy Freeman; and four grandchildren, Madelyn Johnson, Ivey Johnson, Savannah Terry, and Mason Terry.

Pallbearers will be Mason Terry and her loving nephews.  Honorary pallbearers will be Ivey Johnson, Madelyn Rose Johnson, and Savannah Terry.
