Olene (Tidwell) Standridge

Funeral service for Olene Standridge, age 94, of Hillsboro will be12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wesley Thompson officiating.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service.  Interment will be in Caddo Congregational Christin Cemetery.  Guestbook available at www.parkwayfunerals.com.

Mrs. Standridge, who died Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at her residence, was born August 11, 1929, in Alabama to John Tidwell and Dessie Smith Tidwell.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Freeman Standridge; two sons, Timothy Standridge and Clyde Standridge; two daughters, Ann Garrie and Sandy Cox; and her parents.  She loved reading her Bible and was a devoted member of Caddo Congregational Christian Church, in addition to watching other services.  In her leisure time she enjoyed watching wrestling.  She enjoyed time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, especially sharing her childhood stories with them.

She is survived by two sons, Terry Standridge and Larry Standridge; daughter, Kathy Rhodes; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Chris Rhodes, Adam Cox, Matthew Wiley, Timmy Cox, Joey Garrie, and Nathaniel Cox.  Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Cox, Lance Garrie, Camron Jones, Douglas Hughes, Robert Cox, and Hannah Cox.
