Monica Gail (Rylant) Luallen

Funeral service for Monica Gail Luallen, age 74, of Moulton will be 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Ken Johnson officiating.  The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 17, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Interment will be in Midway Memorial Gardens. 

Mrs. Luallen, who died Wednesday, May 13, 2026, in Moulton, was born October 14, 1951, to James Monroe and Beatrice Brewington Rylant.   She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Myra Jenkins; and brothers-in-law, Gary Jenkins and Ted Schaus. 

She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Roger Luallen; son, Matthew Paul Luallen; daughter, Autumn Taarea (Roberto); brother, Danny Rylant (Dixie); sisters, Brenda Blankenship (Dan),  Nancy Schaus, and Bonita Dore (Marty); and grandchildren, Ethan Curnel, Evan Curnel, and Hannah Taarea.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

The family extends special thanks to Carolyn and Carla with Aveanna Hospice, and to a very special friend and sitter, Tracey Speakman.
