Melvalene (Borden) Posey

Funeral service for Melvalene (Borden) Posey, age 67, of Moulton will be Saturday January 14, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Gary Ashley officiating.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service at the funeral home.  Interment will be in Hickory Grove Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Moulton.  

Mrs. Posey, who died Thursday, January 12, 2023, at her residence, was born February 12, 1955, to Melvin Borden and Sarah Sapp Borden.  She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Marie Smith (David), one grandchild, and sister-in-law, Kathy Borden.

She is survived by her loving husband, Carlos Posey; two sons, Richard Burney (Tina) and Adam "Kool-Aid" Burney (Travis); three daughters, Cindy Murphree (Murf), Teresa McAuliffe (Johnny), and Tonie Posey; two brothers, James Borden and Dwight Borden; one sister, Ann Cunningham (Jerry Dale); 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Bubba, Matthew, Dallas, Christopher, Dhylan, and Brooklyn.
