Margie Nell (Alred) Cowan

Margie Nell (Alred) Cowan, age 80, of Decatur died Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Huntsville Hospital.  Her family may host a celebration of life at a later date.  Parkway Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.  

Mrs. Cowan was born July 29, 1945, in Alabama to Louie Alred and Lucille Waugh Alred.  She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Charles Alred and Windle Alred; and one sister, Ruth Hawkins. During her working years she was employed by Copeland Compressors.

She is survived by her son, John Cowan; sister, Bobbie Brewington; and a host of nephews, nieces, and extended family.
