Lynda Ann (George) Appleton

Celebration of Life for Lynda Ann (George) Appleton, age 80, of Moulton will be 4:00 p.m. on Monday, April 1, 2024, at Five Points Christian Church with Rev. Barry Cater and Bro. Mrs. Appleton, who died Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Huntsville Hospital, was born February 6, 1944, in Alabama to Leldon George and Christine Sherrill George Polaski.  She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Leldon "Bud" George; and sister, Betty Wear.  Lynda was a founding member of Five Points Christian Church.  She especially enjoyed sewing and cooking in addition to creative arts including cross stitch, painting, and most recently she made beautiful Christmas ornaments.  Lynda was a superb seamstress who made wonderful heirloom clothing. 

She is survived by her loving husband, Gordon Craig Appleton, Sr.; two sons, Craig Appleton (Tracy) and Chris Appleton (Rhonda); one daughter, Gwena Sims (Ryan); five grandchildren, Jake Appleton, Maggie Kirkpatrick (Will), Xavier Appleton, Zaida Sims, and Jada Appleton; and two great-grandchildren, Gray Kirkpatrick and Taylon Kirkpatrick.
