Lorene (Jacobs) Terry

Lorene Jacobs Terry, beloved wife, mother, and faithful servant of the Lord passed away Friday, January 16, 2026, at the age of 89.  She was a loving mother of two and a devoted, wonderful wife to Dee Wendell Terry, with whom she shared 69 years of marriage. She was an active member of Berea Baptist Church and Moulton Baptist Church for many years, where she found joy in worship, fellowship, and service. She loved life and will be remembered for her caring heart, steady faith, and the love she poured into her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Velma and William Jacobs; her brothers, Hansel Jacobs, S.B. Jacobs, and Jerry Jacobs; and her sister, Nadean Scott Conklin.

She is survived by her husband, Dee Wendell Terry; her daughter, Deborah Bradby Mefford; her son, Tracy Reynolds (Sherry);  her sisters, Brenda Joyce Reynolds and Bernice Bagwell; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

There will be a graveside service to celebrate her life which will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Midway Memorial Gardens, with Bro. Jesse Reeder officiating. Family and friends are welcome.  Parkway Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial donations be made to Decatur Rehabilitation and Healthcare or Compassus Hospice.
