Lillie Pearl (Mears) Douglas

Funeral service for Lillie "Pearl" (Mears) Douglas, age 77, of Moulton, will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Mrs. Gloria Taylor officiating.  The family will receive friends on Friday, September 15, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Interment will be in Midway Memorial Gardens.  Guestbook available at www.parkwayfunerals.com.

Mrs. Douglas, who died Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at her residence, was born July 18, 1946, in Alabama to Kermit and Martie Mears.  She was preceded in death by her parents; five daughters, Priscilla Norris, Kimberly Douglas, Norma Jean Kinard, Helen Pratt, and Peggy Douglas; and four brothers, R. J. Mears, James Mears, Alfred Songer, and Charles Songer.

She is survived by two sons, William Kinard and Scottie Douglas; two daughters, Stephanie May and Gayle Kinard; foster son, Michael Jackson; four brothers, Burlis Mears, Henry Mears, Andy Mears, and Eugene Mears; one sister, Lena Chaney; and 26 grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Elvis Overton, Donald Pratt, Bennie Clark, Joey May, James Pratt, and Andy Mears.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Reliford and D. J. White.
