Libby Payne

Athens - Funeral for Libby "Katy"  Payne, 82, of  Athens will be Monday, December 6, 2021, at Parkway Funeral Home, at 2:00 PM with Wilson Myers and Clyde Ledlow officiating.  Burial will be in Caddo Cemetery.  Visitation will be Sunday  from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.  Mrs. Payne, who died Monday, November 29, 2021, at Athens Limestone Hospital , was born, December 10, 1938, to James Brinkley and Katie Mae Nelms Brinkley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband - Howard Seymore, daughter - Geneva Denny, brother - Richard Brinkley, grandsons - Michael Payne and Amier Williams
Survivors include Seven:
Sons - Ricky (Melody) Payne, Sr., Hank  (Tammy) Payne
Daughters - Rose Watkins, Marie (David) Stewart, Amanda (Jorge) Tello
Brother - Grady Brinkley
Sister - Dorothy Brakeman
18 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
