Lewis Thomas Montgomery

Funeral service for Lewis Thomas Montgomery, age 84, of Decatur, will be 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mr. Montgomery, who died Saturday, November 23, 2024, at his residence was born April 7, 1940, in Alabama to Dave and Docie Montgomery.  He was preceded in death by his son, Tommy Montgomery; parents; four brothers, Thomas Montgomery, Roy Montgomery (Faye), Buck Montgomery, and Gay Montgomery; and six sisters, Louise Montgomery, Edith Heflin, Ommie Tucker (Horace), Grace Tucker (R.V.), Dottie Montgomery Campbell, and Mildred Sheats (Reubert D.).

He is survived by his loving wife, Doris Putman Montgomery; daughter, Beverly Fuller (Tony); brother, Joe Montgomery (Nadine); sister, Elizabeth Tucker; four grandchildren, T. J. Montgomery (Laura), Dillon Montgomery, Jessica Smithson (Jesse), and Jacob Fuller (Tiffany); and several great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Chris Putman, Jason Putman, Marlon Tucker, Marshall Tucker, Jesse Smithson, and Jacob Fuller.
