Lela Josephine (Oliver) Johnson

Funeral service for Lela Josephine (Oliver) Johnson, age 91, of  Moulton will be 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will receive friends for two hours prior to service. Interment will be in Aldridge Grove Cemetery. 

Mrs. Johnson, who died Friday, May 15, 2026, at Falkville Health & Rehabilitation, was born July 10, 1934, in Alabama to Henry Arlin Oliver and Mamie Lou Hodges Oliver.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Johnson; son, Timothy Johnson; parents; two brothers; and two sisters.  She was a member of Aldridge Grove Church Christ.  Lela thoroughly enjoyed flowers, gardening, and cooking.  She loved spending time with family. Her outgoing personality made her care for others, and strangers were merely friends she had not yet met. 

She is survived by her sons, Dwight Johnson and Anthony Johnson (Whitney); daughter, Marietta Butler (Andy); one brother; seven sisters; two grandchildren, Jessica Harbin (Dylan) and Hayden Butler; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews and nieces. 

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
