Kelly Deran "Tom-Tom" Terry

Funeral service for Kelly Deran "Tom-Tom" Terry, age 57, of Pensacola Beach, FL will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mark Klaus officiating.  His family will meet privately from 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. prior to public visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.  Interment will be in Jones Chapel Cemetery.  

Kelly passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2023, at his residence in Pensacola Beach, FL.  He was born May 16, 1966, in Lawrence County to Jerrie Nell Terry and Kelly Brown Terry.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  Kelly attended Lawrence County High School, and was employed by Wolverine Tube for 19 years.  He was an accomplished carpenter and a successful real estate investor.  His love for flying led to receipt of his pilot license in 2003.  He was an animal-lover, especially his dog, Kingsley, who was by his side until his death.  Kelly, who was known by all as "Tom-Tom," loved people and would go out of his way to help anyone.  A stranger was simply a friend he had yet to meet.  He was a born again Christian and always talked about his love for the Lord.

Survivors include his lifetime partner, Shane Boger; two sisters, Felina Byars (Andy) and Tonya Lynn Odell; four nephews, Drew Byars, Josh Byars (Erica), Landon Boger, and Preston Mardis; niece, LeeLee Boger; great-nephew, Damion Davis; four great-nieces, Sunshine Davis, Emily Byars, Lori Byars, and Ella Byars; and his ex-wife and best friend, Roseanne Knight.

Pallbearers will be Ron Walker, Don Walker, Drew Byars, Josh Byars, Andy Byars, Jesse Mears, and Jeremy Wallace.  Honorary pallbearers will be Brennon Alexander and Lynn Parker.
