Julia Bools

Funeral service for Julia  (Miller) Bools, age 80, of Decatur will be 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brannon Bradford officiating.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service at the funeral Home.  Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.  Guestbook available at www.parkwayfunerals.com.

Mrs. Bools, who died Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Decatur Health & Rehabilitation, was born September 7, 1943, in Alabama, to Alford Miller and Lois Aldridge Miller.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jerry "Chico" Bools; her parents; and sister, Marjorie Thomas.  Working as a beautician, she was truly a people person.  She also worked in mental health.  Her greatest loves were her family and dear friends.

She is survived by her brother, Jimmy Miller (Shelia);  brother-in-law, Wayne Thomas, Sr.; sister-in-law, Alice Bools; several nephews and nieces; and a host of extended family and friends. 

Honorary pallbearers will be nephews.
