With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Joel Eddine “Dean” (Foster) Terry, who entered into the arms of Jesus, on July 21, 2026.
Dean was the eldest daughter of Johnny Earl Foster Sr. and Madgie Pearl Foster. She was preceded in death by her parents; her cherished husband, Franklin Terry; her beloved son, Randy Terry; and all of her siblings, Johnny Earl “Bud” Foster Jr, Joe Foster, Betty McNutt, Roy Foster, Wanda Moradi, and Tracy Smith.
Dean and Franklin built a life together that was firmly rooted in love, faith, and family. Through years of hard work and sacrifice, they created a home where their children learned the values of faith in God, honesty, perseverance, forgiveness, kindness, and unconditional love. She prepared exceptional meals for her family and made sure her home was welcoming and warm.
Her greatest joy was being a mother and grandmother. She leaves behind her children, Susan Abel (Walter), Greg Terry (Allison), and Michael Terry as well as her grandchildren, Meleah, Dustin, Kassie, Stephen, Paige, Brandon, Nathan, and Matthew, and great-grandchildren, Lukas and Bryant.
Above all else, Dean developed a deep and lasting relationship with Jesus Christ. Her faith guided her throughout her life and she continually encouraged her children to seek and trust the Lord. Even during the difficult years when her memories began to fade, her love for God and her family remained evident. Her children are forever grateful for the countless sacrifices she made throughout her life. They knew that they were deeply loved by their mother, and they will carry her legacy with them always.
