Decatur - Funeral for Joe Borden, 78, of Decatur will be Monday, January 10, 2022, at Parkway Funeral Home, at 2:00 PM with. Burial will be in Midway Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home. Mr. Borden, who died Friday, January 7, 2022, at his residence , was born, August 26, 1943, to Robert Clyde Borden and Ruth Thelma Smith Borden. He served in the United States Navy, 4 tours in Vietnam and was shot 3 times. He loved Alabama Football.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Survivors include:
Wife - Judy Borden
Son - Joey Borden, Jr.
Daughter - Kerry (Alan) Hamm
several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
