The family of Joan Bailey Reed, age 72, of Decatur, will host a private graveside service at Concord Baptist Church Cemetery (Cullman) with Parkway Funeral Home directing. Guestbook available at www.parkwayfunerals.com.

Mrs. Reed, who died Monday, May 29, 2023, at her residence, was born October 16, 1950 in Alabama to Winfred Owen Bailey and Erra Lucille Yeager Bailey. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alton P. Reed; brother, Ray Bailey; and sister, Sue Smith.

She is survived by her son, Mark O. Nichols (Chasity); daughter, Taura Lynn Nichols (Kevin Horowitz); and four grandchildren, Hunter Cole Nichols, Mackenzie Rhea Nichols, Owen Nichols, and Sophia Nichols.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
