Joan (Neal) Price

Funeral service for Joan (Neal) Price, age 83, of Decatur will be 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Ministers Michael Price and Donnie Harvey officiating.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service.  Interment will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.  Guestbook available at www.parkwayfunerals.com.

Joan went home to be with her Lord on July 17, 2025.  She was born December 16, 1941, in Stearns, Kentucky to the late Brad and Bessie (Johnson) Neal.

She is survived by her son, Michael Price (Cathy) of Decatur; daughter, Kim Alexander (Charlie) of Decatur; sister-in-law, Josephine Neal of Long Island, NY; three grandchildren, Amanda Price, Staci Gresham (Michael), Maegan Ray (John); three great-grandchildren, Emma Price, Krystalyn Suggs, and Katelyn Suggs; and a host of  cousins, nephews, and nieces.

In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her loving husband of 33 years, Vernon Ora Price; brother, James Neal; sister, Sue Millis; and brother-in-law, Charles Millis.

Joan loved Jesus. She was a prayer warrior for all her loved ones. She enjoyed cooking and caring for others. She took pride in her home and sharing the simple pleasures in life with anyone she met. She loved her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her beloved sister more than anything, and spending time with them was her favorite thing to do.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
