Mr. Terry, who died Saturday, October 28, 2023, at home with family, was born  March 28, 1944, to  Clyde and Lillian Wilson Terry.   He was preceded in death by his parents.

His greatest passion was his church. He was a member of New Liberty Church for 73 years where he served as church leader, deacon, Sunday school teacher, Sunday school superintendent, missionary and song leader. He helped with the construction of the present church and in its early years he would carry the coal buckets and build the fire in the coal heater.

He was very successful with almost everything he attempted. He was an electrician, home builder, mechanic, plumber, heavy equipment operator, trader and loved wood working. He loved his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was also an avid coon hunter, he enjoyed running his dogs with his hunting buddies.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Susan Coffey Terry; son, Michael "Shane" Terry; daughter, Kelly Terry Tucker (Quinton); three sisters, Geanetter Evans (Tommy), Carolyn Welborn(Dawson), and Betty Jones (Ronnie); two grandchildren, Kaila Proctor Morgan (Heath) and Jesse Proctor; and three great-grandchildren, Karson Morgan, Kohen Morgan, and Klara Morgan.

Pallbearers will be Randal Parker, Jimmy Kirby, Blake Burden, Phillip Parker, Chester Quinn, Danny Adams, Curtis Hicks, and Gwin Wilson.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Dusty Burden, Scotty Halbrooks, Robert Hill, Junior Long, Tim Cross, and Kinard Little.
