Jimmy Lawrence Johnson

Jimmy Lawrence Johnson, age 53, of Somerville, died Monday, March 17, 2025, at his residence.  His family will host a Celebration of Life from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Rhodes Ferry Park in Decatur.  Parkway Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.  

Mr. Johnson was born August 21, 1971, in Alabama to Lawrence Thomas Johnson and Mary Evelyn Farrow Johnson.  He was preceded in death by his father.  Jimmy loved the outdoors on the water, and riding motorcycles.  His grandchildren were his world; he and his buddy, Ford, always loved to fish together.  Jimmy also loved spending his days with his chickens, turkeys, and grand-dog, Bam Bam.

He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Michelle Johnson; three children, Craig Johnson, Jessica Johnson, and Benjamin Johnson (Jaselynn); mother, Evelyn Hardin (Percy); and two grandchildren, Ford Johnson and Ruby Johnson.
