Jerry Thomas Nichols

Graveside service for Jerry Thomas Nichols, age 85, of Decatur will be 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at Midway Memorial Gardens with Rev. Barry Cater officiating and Parkway Funeral Home directing.  The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home prior to service.  Guestbook available at www.parkwayfunerals.com.

Mr. Nichols, who died Friday, October 31, 2025, at Huntsville Hospital, was born November 2, 1939, in Alabama to Grady Lee Nichols and Effie Maine Waldrep Nichols.  He was preceded in death by his son, Torry Nichols; parents;  brothers, Bailey Nichols and Joe Nichols; sisters, Betty Scoggins and June Thomas; grandchild, Stacey Staggs; and daughter-in-law, Doreen Nichols.

He is survived by his sons, Jeremy Nichols and Dewayne Moland (Becky); daughters, Dana Power and Catrina Woodruff (Greg); sister, Opal Welborn; 10 grandchildren, Danielle Staggs, Chad Nichols, Trent Nichols, Tosha Snider, Brittany Eash, Zachary Nichols, Cassie Da Silva, Chase Woodruff, Caeli Woodruff, and Megan Turner; and a host of great-grandchildren and extended family.

Pallbearers will be Izaiah Regina, Elijah Regina, Greg Woodruff, and Dylan Turner.
