Funeral service for Jane (Latham) Alexander, age 75, of Trinity, will be 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Agee officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service. Interment will be in Midway Memorial Gardens. Guestbook available at www.parkwayfh.com.
Mrs. Alexander, who died Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born October 20, 1950, in Alabama to James Howard Latham and Mable Amanda Ragan Latham. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Palmer Joe Johnson (Sarah) and John David "Johnny" Latham (Freida); sisters, Joyce Latham Campbell (Vernon), Betty Jean Latham Livingston (Kenneth), Jennifer Diane Latham, Andrea Jan Latham, and Joan Darlene Latham; brothers-in-law, Kyle Holt and Tony Terry; and sisters-in-law, Susan Latham and Vicky Latham. Mrs. Alexander was an RN/Certified Operating Nurse and Director of Surgery at Decatur Morgan Hospital. Her hobbies were shopping and cookng for family and friends, She believed holidays were made for keeping traditions alive. Her green thumb brought her great joy in gardening. Leisure time was enjoyed at the beach. Her greatest accomplishments were being a wife for 56 years, a mother to her sons, and a grandmother to her two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending time with her nephews and nieces, and their children.
She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Silas Ray Alexander; sons, Christopher Ray Alexander (Michelle) and Stacy Lamar Alexander; brothers, James Lathan, Jr. (Debbie), Jackie Latham, and Jerry Latham; sisters, Janice Alexander (Jimmy) and Judy Terry; brother-in-law, Kenneth Livingston; grandchildren, Jacob Riley Alexander (Samantha) and Hailee Brianne Alexander (Jawan); and great-grandchildren, Riley Faith Alexander, Slayton Jacob Alexander, Rohan Drey Porter, and Talia Hope Porter.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
