James Nathan Jones

Funeral service for James Nathan Jones, age 82, of Hartselle will be 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 23, 2026, at Parkway Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service.  Interment will be in Midway Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Jones, who died Thursday, February 19, 2026, was born December 6, 1943, to William Allen Jones and Mildred Elizabeth Roberts Jones.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Jenkins Jones; son, Frankie Lynn Hamilton; daughter, Connie Goodwin; parents; brother, Flynoie Jones; and five sisters, Willodean Jones, Doris Brown, Annette Shelton, Edith Rhodes, and Helen Clements.  He was a U. S. Army veteran who loved his family, woodworking, beach vacations, and gospel music.  Most of all he loved Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

He is survived by his son, James Nathan Jones, II; daughters, Robin Mills (Chris) and Ligita Treadway; sister, Connie Faulk; and 11 grandchildren, Dillan Jones, Keith Jones, Haley Morris, Canbey Hardin, Michael Treadway, Oneal Treadway, Chad Treadway, Cassy Blasingame, Christy Goodwin, Amber Hamilton, and Amanda Hamilton.

Pallbearers will be family.
