James Arthur Scott

Memorial service for James Arthur Scott, age 84, of Decatur will be 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 3, 2025, at Spring Avenue Church of the Nazarene.  Parkway Funeral Home is assisting his family with arrangements.  Guestbook available at www.parkwayfunerals.com.

Mr. Scott, who died December 25, 2024, at his residence, was born December 27, 1939, in Tennessee to James L. Scott and Vernon Ella Mae Scott.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  Mr. Scott retired from 3M.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Taylor Scott; son, Tim Scott; daughter, Trudy Carey (Mike); stepsons, Neil McLean (Amy) and Tate McLean; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
