Huey Wayne Owens, Jr.

Celebration of Life for Huey Wayne Owens, Jr., age 54, of Decatur will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Fellowship Baptist Church with Bro. Tony Riley officiating.

Mr. Owens, who died January 20, 2026, at his residence, was born February 5, 1971, in Alabama to Huey Wayne Owens, Sr. and Joan Marie Dotson Owens.  He was preceded in death by his daughter, Megan Owens; parents; and brother, Jordan Owens.  Wayne thoroughly enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was an avid race fan.

He is survived by his wife, Debra Mayer Owens; son, Hunter Wayne Owens; and two sisters, Lesha Phillips and Kim Smith.
