Hubert Ray Dotson

Funeral service for Hubert Ray Dotson, age 71, of Decatur will be 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mr. Dotson, who died Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at UAB Hospital, was born August 27, 1954, in Alabama to Herbert Dotson and Geneva Ida Shields Dotson.  He was preceded in death by his sons, Eddie Edward Dotson and Greg Allen Dotson; parents; three brothers, Johnny Dotson, Gary Dotson, and Charles Dotson; two sisters, Tammy Dotson and Sandra Dotson; and son-in-law, Clenton May.

He is survived by his loving wife, Vona Michelle (Kendall) Dotson; son, Scotty Ray Dotson; daughters, Tracey Michelle May and Teresa Atkins; brother, Phillip Dotson; sister, Angie Dotson; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
