Herschel Coble

Herschel Coble, age 85, of Decatur, died Thursday, August 29, 2024, at his residence.  His family will host a Celebration of Life in Jonesboro, AR at a later date.  Parkway Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.  

Mr. Coble was born November 21, 1938, in Arkansas to Claude Coble and Dora Pierce Coble.  He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Raymond Coble, James Coble, Clem Coble, and Velis Coble; two sisters, Louise Holder and Marie Owens; and son-in-law, Tom Zaborski.  He enjoyed gardening, fishing, going to the casino, and cooking, but especially spending time with his family.

He is survived by three daughters, Leslie Coble Zaborski, Patricia Coble Rehm (Doug), and Glenda Coble Peterson (Ted DeRoos); brother, Lloyd Coble; sister, Betty Jean Coble; nine grandchildren, Hollie Zaborski Cornelius (Steven), David Zaborski, Allen Zaborski, Billie Jo Pruess, Shaun Preuss, Kayla Hanke, Rebecca Bierman, Jason Coble, and Eric Baur; and a host of great-grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial donations be made to the hospice of your choice.
