Helen Marie (Hasting) Clemons

Funeral service for Helen Marie (Hasting) Clemons, age 93, of Danville, will be 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 22, 2024, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Stanley Linderman officiating.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service.  Interment will be in Midway Memorial Gardens. 

Mrs. Clemons, who died Monday, March 18, 2024, at Crestwood Medical Center, was born March 12, 1931, in Alabama to John W. Hasting and Sally J. Thomas Hasting.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Clemons; her parents; three brothers, Thomas Hasting (Almeta), Malon Hasting (Lilly Mae), and Charlie Hasting; two sisters, Florine Crawford (James) and Mammie Ball (Charles); and grandchild, Deborah Ricks.  She was a faithful member of Mt. View Baptist Church.  Spending time with family, baking, and gardening were her joys in life.

She is survived by two sons, Ben Clemons (Janet) and Ricky Ricks (Ruby); five grandchildren, Wade Clemons, Crystal Terry (Chris), Richard Ricks, Jr. (Shannon), Dale Ricks, and Kayla Brown; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will include Michael Smith, Stanley Linderman, and Dale Ricks.
