Gregory Glenn Barkett

Memorial service for Gregory Glenn Barkett, age 69, of Trinity, will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service.  Guestbook available at www.parkwayfh.com.

Mr. Barkett, who died Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Huntsville Hospital, was born July 8, 1956, in Miami, FL, to Joseph Buddy Barkett and Betty Magdalene Dye Barkett.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Donald Eudy.  Greg moved to Decatur in 1968, then to Trinity in 1970.  He attended West Morgan, where he met his high school sweetheart, Sherry.  They were married for 52 years.  Greg drove a truck for 19 years, then formed his own business as an electronics technician, from which he recently retired.  During his work, he developed long-lasting relationships with many people who greatly admired him.  He will be greatly missed. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Hogan Barkett; daughters, Kelly Pfeil and Laura Barkett; brother, Steven Barkett (Kathy); sister, Sonja James; brother-in-law, Chris Chenault; and sister-in-law, Nerian Eudy.
