Gracie Marie (Laymon) Kitchens

Funeral service for Gracie Marie (Laymon) Kitchens, age 86, of Decatur will be 12:00 p.m. on Friday, May 10, 2024, at Parkway Funeral Home with Bro. Mrs. Kitchens, who died Monday, May 6, 2024, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born April 18, 1938, in Alabama to Lonnie C. Laymon and Emma D. Treadway Laymon.  She was preceded in death by her son, Tommy Guyse; parents; two brothers, J. C. Laymon and Lee Laymon; grandchild, Heather Skivington; and two great-grandchildren, Rylie Goodman and Spencer Goettlich.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, especially Chase.  Her leisure time was spent gardening and going on cruises.

She is survived by her son, Ronnie Guyse; daughter, Peggy Powers; two brothers, Kenneth Laymon (Gail) and Marvin Laymon (Betty); sister, Lucille Blackwell (Wayne); 14 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Scott, Will, Tymothy, Calvin, Landon, and Briar.
