Gary Lee Coan

Funeral service for Gary Lee Coan, age 69, of Hillsboro, will be 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Greg Standridge officiating.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service.  Interment will be in Union Hill Cemetery. 

Mr. Coan, who died Friday, May 22, 2026, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born November 4, 1956, in Alabama to Druie Lee Coan and Lauvana H. Parker Coan.  He was preceded in death by his son, Doug Hill; parents;; and sister, Deborah Coan Dutton. 

He is survived by his sons, Adam Coan (Beth Anne), Brett Coan (Whitney), Caleb Coan (Cheyenne), and Dale Hill; significant other, Kay Hill; daughter-in-law, Melody Hill; and grandchildren, Noah Clay Hill, Abigail "A.J." Hill, Emma Coan, Cameron Owens, Sawyer Coan, Sara Coan, Trenton Coan, Cooper Coan, Colin Coan, and Max Coan.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
