Trinity - Private service for Garron Shelton, 68, of Trinity will be held with Father Charles Merrill officiating and Parkway Funeral Home directing. Mr. Shelton, who died Sunday, June 13, 2021, at his residence, was born, July 5, 1952, to Everett Shelton and Oleane Heaps.
A tireless and passionate worker, Garron owned Shelton’s Welding in Moulton where he left a legacy of fine craftsmanship and sturdy metal buildings across the Tennessee Valley. That endeavor was followed by his most beloved job in maintenance at Champion Paper Mill where his reputation as a hard worker persisted, as did his reputation as a prankster and jokester. He was well-known and loved in his community as a man who could always make you laugh.
Outside of work, Garron most loved being outdoors, gardening, fishing, bird watching, and exploring the beauty of Lawrence County. He enjoyed listening to music, playing the guitar, and singing, especially for his family. Family gatherings with his wife, children, and grandchildren are what he loved most, especially at Christmas time. He found great joy in storytelling, and never missed an Alabama football game.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Everett Allen "Butch" Shelton
