Flora Mae Terry

Funeral service for Flora Mae Terry, age 82, of Decatur will be 1:00 PM on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Glenn Bridgman and Bro. Shane Seynard officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Interment will be in Midway Memorial Gardens.  

Mrs. Terry, who died Wednesday, May 29, 2024, in Gastonia, NC, was born May 13, 1942, to Rufus and Versie Wood.   She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Margaret Coan. She was a devoted mother and wife for 58 years. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church for 50+ years, an honorary state trooper and the world's #1 mawmaw.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Floyd C. "Buddy" Terry, Jr.; daughter, Jennifer Gillespie (Todd); and grandchildren, Connor Gillespie (Jessy) and McKenna Gillespie.

Pallbearers will be Dwight Lovell, Vance Newton, Carl Willingham, Boone Terry, Mark Cabler, and Tim Harris.
