Mrs. Voss, who died Monday, October 7, 2024, at her residence, was born March 12, 1933, in Alabama to Chester and Dottie Standridge. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Kenneth Wayne Voss; her parents; and brother, Byron Standridge. Mrs. Voss was an active member of Bellview Baptist Church and dearly loved her church family. She retired from the Wallace Center in Decatur. A pastor's wife for more than 50 years, she enjoyed singing whenever opportunities arose. She had a servant's heart, never met a stranger, loved her family, and enjoyed life with them. She was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and thoroughly enjoyed watching her grandchildren playing any sport. Her love for her Lord and Savior, and service to Him, were a guiding force in her life. She was a wonderful cook, avid gardener, and loved the outdoors. There was always an extra seat at her table.
She is survived by her sons, Garry Voss (Deborah) and Kenney Voss (Neice); daughters, Ronda Hill (Phillip) and Sharon Jay (John); sister-in-law, Betty Standridge; four grandchildren, Garry Wayne Voss (Tina), Wesley Crunk (Lacey), Stephanie Morgan (Damon), and Nolan Voss (Tequila); nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Crunk, Nolan Voss, Gavin Crunk, Tristan Archer, Damon Morgan, Garry Wayne Voss, Jonathan Radford, and Jackson Randolph. Honorary pallbearers will be Isabella Morgan, Ailiea Morgan, Avery Crunk, Kennedy McClain, and Titan Voss.
In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests memorial donations be made to the Alabama Baptist Children's Home, Decatur Campus, P. O. Box 1805, Decatur, AL 35602
