Dorothy Nell (Suggs) Shelton

Graveside service for Dorothy Nell (Suggs) Shelton, age 90, of Moulton, will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Midway Memorial Gardens with Bro. David Lowery officiating and Parkway Funeral Home directing.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home. 

Mrs. Shelton, who died Thursday, April 30, 2026, at her residence, was born January 5, 1936, in Alabama to Louis John Suggs and Vivian Sue Stephenson Suggs.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Gilbert Shelton; parents; and granddaughter, Franny McLemore.  She was a long-time member of Caddo Congregational Christian Church.

She is survived by her sons, Duncan Shelton (Martha) and Bryan Shelton; daughter, Amy McLemore (Lee); brothers, Bobby Suggs (Margaret) and Billy Suggs (Patsy); sister, Janie Craig; five grandchildren, Amber Vinson (Tony), Ashley Sutton, Jessica Boyles (Jake), Shelton McLemore, and L. J. McLemore; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews and nieces.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
